An upright, oval, dark green boxwood that grows to about 3 feet high and wide. It flowers in spring, but it is grown for its handsome foliage. Use as hedging or topiary, or in a border.

Partial or full shade.

All soil types.

Moist but well-drained or well-drained.

Maximum height 1.5m. Maximum spread 0.9m. Time to full growth 20-50years.
