A bushy shrub with narrowly dark green leaves to 15cm long, and bright deep red flowers in spikes to 10cm long in summer

Full sun. Sand, clay, loam soil.

Moist but well  drained soil.

Maximum height 1.5-2.5m Maximum spread  1.5-2.5m.

Time to maximum height 10-20 years.
